An alternative to Lorem Ipsum based on analysis of a set of words. Below is the output based on 1000 English words. Choose a different language: English, French, or German.

Restful Usage

Will produce a style-free page of text of exactly 3 paragraphs, containing between 3 and 8 (inclusive) sentences each. Sentences will contain between 5 and 16 (inclusive) words with a further randomising factor of +/-3 words (if variation is set to true). There will be punctuation and variation included in this example, set to 'true' or 'false' as needed.

• p: number of paragraphs
• s: number of sentences per paragraph. This is a range, e.g. 3,8 (between 3 and 8 inclusive)
• w: number of words per sentence. This is a range, e.g. 5,16 (between 5 and 16 inclusive)
• v: include further variation of -3 to 3 on number of words in a sentence
• g: include punctuation
• c: the classname you would like on <p> elements

Why build this?

Because I can... And because I wanted a source of placeholder text that was reliably similar in letter usage and word lengths to different languages. I can enter any number of words from any language and get output for that language.

Dataset Analysis

How accurate is the analysis?

Not bad when compared to a study done by Cornell University math department: http://pi.math.cornell.edu/~mec/2003-2004/cryptography/subs/frequencies.html. Or when compared against this white paper: https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/82753461.pdf.
